About PetSounds

Curriculum Vitae of Dr. Miller | Referrals | PetSounds article, the Northwest Explorer, March 2006

PetSounds is a veterinary practice dedicated to the use of non-invasive and minimally invasive medicine wherever beneficial for the patient.

The PetSounds Team currently includes Dr. Chris Miller and his partner, wife Kathy. Together they own and operate PetSounds, providing mobile ultrasound services to veterinary clinics in Southern Arizona. Chris offers his services to Rural Area Veterinary Services; provides free veterinary care on Native American Reservations; and travels on veterinary missions to Mexico, Central and South America, and Appalachia. In addition, he has assisted Best Friends Animal Society, participating in the rescue for victims of war in Lebanon and The Great Bunny Rescue in Nevada.

Chris went to Seattle at the behest of Best Friends to help with an outbreak of Encephalitazoon cuniculi, a nasty protozoan disease of rabbits that is contagious and affects the central nervous system. The team first had to capture 106 bunnies that, while domestic rabbits, were feral. Then each was evaluated and identified for treatment.

Chris has been to Nicaragua and Panama, assisting the World Vets organization. World Vets is a non-government organization (NGO) providing veterinary aid around the globe in collaboration with animal advocacy groups, foreign governments, US and foreign military groups and veterinary professionals abroad.  Their work spans 24 countries and 6 continents and addresses not only veterinary issues, but also human health issues impacted by zoonotic diseases in developing countries.
